Early Years Reading Resource
Project Overview
The Early Years Reading Resource project aims to produce a resource for parents/carers of under 5s to support them to challenge gender stereotypes while reading and rhyming with the child(ren) in their care.

The project will see two workshops held with parents/carers to help establish the content of the resource. An artist will run an activity alongside the parent/carer discussion, aimed at the children whose parents/carers are involved in the workshop. The children’s activity and discussion will engage the children in an age-appropriate way with the idea of gender equality, with the children's ideas feeding into the artwork and design of the final resource.
